GIAMBATTISTA VALLIREADY-TO-WEAR SPRING-SUMMER 2026.

The collection is a conversation between shadow and light, between details and volumes, between the simplicity of everyday life and the excellence of craftsmanship. A celebration of anature both humble and opulent, transposed into pieces where light becomes matter andwhere each instant is frozen like a living painting.

This season, for the Spring-Summer 2026 Collection, Giambattista Valli draws his inspirationfrom the gestures and luminous contrasts dear to the Dutch masters, particularly Vermeer. Asin their canvases, each silhouette captures the brilliance of an intimate moment: a crystallinelight that reveals the simplicity of daily life and magnifies the richness of details.

Play of volumes and materials:

The collection unfolds as a conversation between minimal and maximal. Sober lines meet blownand airy volumes: wide trouser-skirts billowing in the wind, little dresses like bouquets inmotion. The fabrics, both simple and precious, are worked with artisanal precision: embroidered cottonorganza and ruched/elastic silk organza, linen canvases embroidered with mirrors in wheat-sheaf patterns, shot taffeta with clover motifs, floral prints evokingfreshly picked bouquets.A crinkled organza, conceived like a woven basket, recurs as a guiding thread between natureand savoir-faire.

The prints are inspired by Dutch still lifes: generous baskets of fruit-strawberries, raspberries, peaches, rosemary-flowers left on a table, ready to be carried away by the breeze. Nature, placed on simple canvases, escapes, light and free, enriching the silhouettes.

Lace and embroidery:

The collection features Dutch-inspired embroidery, white-on-white, delicate laces, as well asmacramé like nets where fruits climb. These textures bring a tactile poetry, discreet andluminous.Evolution of colors and rhythm:

The show opens with sober tones, then accelerates with dresses in fluid and liquid jersey.Shades become vibrant blocks: periwinkle, anise, “tulip” pinks, deep “dahlia” reds, mint, lemonand tangy pastels. As the show progresses, nature blossoms: gathers, ruffles and volumes swelled by the wind givebreadth while maintaining lightness.Touches of lingerie:Throughout the collection appear touches of lingerie, conceived as intimate breaths.

They donot seek to constrain, but to give the silhouette a relaxed attitude, like a moment stolen fromthe private sphere.Discreet and light, they reveal the fragility and freedom of the body, prolonging the theme oflight and of the magnified everyday.Accessories, a natural extension of the silhouettes:

Extremely flat shoes or those with assertive heels: sandals, slippers and ballerinas are adornedwith a flower placed on the tip, a small bouquet, a delicate jewel or fragments of embroidery. The bags continue this dialogue with nature: small minaudières shaped like fruits-apples, pears-lacquered in the colors of the collection; baskets embroidered with fragments of mirrorscatching the light; mini “Air-Bags” embroidered with mirrors or clover bouquets that seem readyto fly away. Bright and tangy hues, inspired by the garden, accompany the movement of the silhouette.
